David Mbadinga Injury: Out for season

Georgia Southern head coach Clay Helton said Monday that Mbadinga will undergo season-ending knee surgery, Zach Fox of WTOC11 reports.

Mbadinga had missed back-to-back games with what was previously an unspecified injury. However, Monday's update provides some clarity, as the Eagles will be without Mbadinga for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. He'll finish the year with 49 carries for 196 yards and one touchdown. Expect OJ Arnold and Terrance Gibbs to handle most of the RB work down the stretch.
