Jack Layne News: Leads New Mexico to win

Layne completed 14 of 25 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 23-17 overtime victory over San Diego State. He also had 11 rushes for nine yards.

Layne didn't put up big numbers down the stretch, completing 56.9 percent of his passes for 458 yards and just one touchdown in his last three games, though the junior did lead the Lobos to six straight victories as New Mexico will finish the regular season at 9-3 while earning bowl eligibility for the first time since 2016. Overall, Layne's completed 65.9 percent of his passes for 2,398 yards, 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions across 12 games.
