Jayden Denegal News: Falls in overtime
Denegal was 14-for-24 passing for 162 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Friday's 23-17 overtime defeat to New Mexico. He also had seven rushes for eight yards.
It was a step in the right direction for Denegal, who'd thrown for just 98 yards total in his previous two games. Still, the junior quarterback has struggled down the stretch, throwing for fewer than 200 yards in each of his last six contests. Denegal will finish the regular season with a 58.6 completion percentage for 1,811 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions as the Aztecs will now turn their attention towards a bowl matchup.
