Molineux has not recovered from shoulder surgery in time to be named in Australia's women's Ashes squad to tour England this year, ESPN Cricinfo reports.
ANALYSIS
Molineux, who went a shoulder surgery in February has not recovered fully fit to be named in Australia's Women's Ashes squad to tour England this year, though she has been offered as an indirect path back to the selection via Australia A group who will be touring in parallel with the senior team. Moreover, national selector said, "Sophie has been doing everything she could do to prove her fitness having had a shoulder reconstruction back in February, but she still needs a bit more time to make sure she's 100% [fit], so she'll travel to England with Australia A side." In her absence, the 20-year-old quick bowler Tayla Vlaeminck has been included in the squad who has played just one ODI and one T20I for Australia.
