Booked against Moicano
Dober will fight Renato Moicano at UFC Vegas 85 of Feb. 3, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Momentum will be on Dober's side entering this fight after winning four of his last five fights dating back to 2022. He made quick work of Rick Glenn in his most recent bout, and Dober will now be matched up with an opponent who is recovering from a knee injury.

Easily handles Rick Glenn
Dober defeated Rick Glenn via TKO (punches) at 2:36 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a huge result for Dober on the heels of his first-round knockout loss to Matt Frevola this past May. Entering as a massive -415 favorite, it was nice to see Dober get Glenn out of there without issue. Drew is a high-end striker but has struggled to finish his opposition at times. There were no such issues here. Set to turn 35 years of age in late October, Dober should do everything possible to get back in the octagon as quickly as possible considering he absorbed no damage in this fight. He's 4-1 in his past five fights dating back to March 2022 and will have to remain active if he is to climb the rankings at 155 pounds.

Next fight booked

ANALYSIS
Dober, who was last defeated by Matt Frevola, will look to get back on track against Rick Glenn in October. The 34-year-old American, who recently lost his three-fight win streak, is 12-8-1 during his time with the UFC.

Finished by Matt Frevola
Dober lost to Matt Frevola via TKO (punches) at 4:08 of Round 1 at UFC 288 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
If Dober hopes to make any sort of run at 155 pounds, he can't be losing fights such as this one (in which he entered as a -225 favorite). A Muay Thai specialist that is typically exceedingly durable, Dober got crushed with a right hand from Frevola and was never able to recover. He was visibly upset with the stoppage of referee Herb Dean, but it certainly appeared to be justified. Drew was in a whole heap of trouble. Dober entered having won three straight, all via knockout, so his roster spot is exceedingly secure, but this setback is going to be difficult for him to overcome in terms of Dober attempting to move up the lightweight rankings.

Facing Matt Frevola in May
Dober agreed to fight Matt Frevola in a lightweight bout at UFC 288 on May 6, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dober is coming off a knockout victory against Bobby Green in December for his third consecutive win. Frevola has also won two straight bouts and last defeated Ottman Azaitar via knockout in November.
