Hall suffered a complete tear of his ACL in training recently and he will not return to the Octagon in 2022, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall had a potential bout in the works for Aug. 13, but that will not happen any longer. This surgery on his ACL was his sixth in the past 14 months. Hall is hoping to return at some point in early 2023. He last fought in December when he took down Darrick Minner by unanimous decision.

Takes decision at UFC 269

Hall defeated Darrick Minner via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-27) at UFC 269 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Hall is always going to have a problem in a prolonged kickboxing match, but he can handle most any featherweight in the world in a grappling battle, and Minner was surprisingly willing to engage Hall in the mat session he is always desperately seeking. Over the course of the 15-minute bout, Hall was credited with 5:37 worth of control time and a whopping seven submission attempts. While none of them ultimately connected, Hall had Minner on the defensive whenever the two ended up on the ground. Hall's style of fighting isn't for everybody, but he clearly possess a world class skill and is a threat every single time he steps into the Octagon. It was a strong bounce-back effort on the heels of Hall's first professional loss -- a knockout at the hands of Ilia Topuria -- this past July.
Facing Darrick Minner

Hall (hand) will face Darrick Minner at UFC 269 in Las Vegas on Dec. 11, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall is apparently ready to go after breaking his hand in his loss to Ilia Topuria back in July. That loss was his first as a UFC fighter, ending a streak of four straight wins. In Minner, he'll face an opponent with similarly little experience at the UFC level, as he's gone 2-2 in four fights with the promotion.

Hall suffered a broken hand in last Saturday's loss to Ilia Topuria, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall had never been defeated prior to last weekend's knockout loss to Topuria. Hall aparently suffered the broken hand on the first punch he landed and was in trouble from there. Hall was supposed to fight Dan Ige back in March, but had to withdraw due to injury. Hall should be back in a couple months from the broken hand and will be looking to get back on track.
Returns from long layoff with loss

Hall lost to Ilia Topuria via KO (punches) at 4:47 of Round 1 at UFC 264 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A Hall fight is unlike any other UFC experience. Saturday was no exception. An elite, all-world mat specialist, Hall spends the vast majority of virtually all of his bouts rolling around on the mat in hopes his opponent will engage him in a submission battle. As a result, no one wants to fight him. Not only did Topuria jump at the chance, he quickly figured out Hall's timing and hopped on top of him and finished him with powerful strikes. It's impossible to know what to make of Hall moving forward. He's now 36 years of age and has fought four times since December 2016. He had been on the sidelines nearly two full years prior to Saturday. Topuria is a stud, but Hall isn't going to make any sort of progress if he doesn't step into the octagon more frequently.
Booked against Topuria in July

Hall will take on Ilia Topuria in a featherweight matchup at UFC 264 on July 10, Giorgi Kokiashvili of Adjarasport reports (via Marcel Dorff of MMADNA).
ANALYSIS
Hall is a perfect 4-0 in the UFC, but he hasn't been the greatest fantasy scorer, as three of those fights have gone to the judges. He also has yet to eclipse 50 significant strikes in a single bout, landing 2.32 per minute. He draws another solid grappler in Topuria, though Topuria did show some power in his hands when he knocked out Damon Jackson last December to improve his UFC record to 2-0. Hall will enter this matchup with three-inch height and one-inch reach advantages.
