Marcao suffered an ankle contusion in recent days and is a doubt for upcoming fixtures for Sevilla. The center-back will likely be assessed at the beginning of next week to know if he can feature in the clash against Espanyol on Nov. 24. Marcao has been a regular starter in the central defense recently which means that if he had to miss the game a change will have to be made in the backline, with Kike Salas as the main option to replace him.
