Ta'amu completed 16 of 30 passes for 245 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions and rushed four times for 25 yards during the Defenders' 35-26 loss to the Renegades in the XFL Championship Game on Saturday night.

ANALYSIS
The highlights of Ta'amu's frustrating night were a 72-yard touchdown strike to Josh Hammond late in the third quarter and subsequent 24-yard scoring toss to his talented wideout with 1:17 remaining. Otherwise, Ta'amu looked nothing like the quarterback that had hit his stride beginning in Week 6, as he threw multiple back-breaking interceptions, including one in the Renegades' end zone when the Defenders looked to be on the verge of their first score. The rocky night was a crushing end to a terrific season for both Ta'amu and his team, but it remains to be seen if he'll still be able to parlay his mostly impressive play throughout the last several weeks leading into Saturday's game into an NFL training camp invite.
