Kevin McCullar News: Productive in G League playoff loss
McCullar logged 21 points (9-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and two steals across 37 minutes Thursday in the G League Westchester Knicks' 124-118 loss to the Maine Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
With the loss, Westchester was eliminated from the playoffs, so the two-way player will be back with the parent club for the remainder of the regular season. Unless he's converted to a standard NBA deal, however, McCullar won't be eligible to suit up for the Knicks during the postseason. The second-round rookie out of Kansas made 13 appearances for Westchester on the season, averaging 11.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 27.8 minutes per contest.
