Cowser is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
The left-handed-hitting Cowser will take a seat for Wednesday's matinee while the White Sox send southpaw Martin Perez to the bump. Jorge Mateo will check in for Cowser in center field and will bat ninth.
