Francisco Lareto News: Lands in Pittsburgh

The Pirates acquired Lareto from the Phillies on Tuesday in exchange for Chase Shugart, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports.

Lareto is an 18-year-old infielder who has yet to advance past the Florida Complex League. He slashed .237/.332/.396 with five homers in 47 games in the FCL in 2025 while playing third base and a little bit of second base.
