Franklin Gomez News: Traded to Guardians

The Guardians acquired Gomez from the Mets on Thursday in exchange for international bonus pool money.

Gomez's 2025 season was split between Single-A St. Lucie and High-A Brooklyn, and he finished with a 2.76 ERA and 68:34 K:BB over 71.2 innings between the two spots. The 20-year-old lefty will likely begin his tenure in the Guardians organization at High-A Lake County.
