Nate Baez News: Sent to Boston

The Red Sox acquired Baez from the Twins on Wednesday in exchange for Tristan Gray, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Baez, 24, hit .278/.371/.423 with eight home runs and a 45:65 BB:K over 96 games between High-A Cedar Rapids and Double-A Wichita in 2025. He's split his time between catcher and first base in pro ball and will likely begin the 2026 campaign at Double-A Portland.
