Ronny Simon Injury: Non-tendered by Pirates

Simon (shoulder) was non-tendered by the Pirates on Friday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Simon made his big-league debut in 2025, first with the Marlins and then with the Pirates. He totaled 88 plate appearances, slashing .234/.299/.273. Simon is currently recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum, but he is expected to be cleared in early March.
