Victor Mesa News: Optioned to Triple-A

Mesa was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, per the MLB's official transaction log.

Mesa will return to Jacksonville after being called up Aug. 31, batting .200 with one home run, five RBI and six runs scored over 25 at-bats in 12 contests following his promotion. The transaction makes room for Dane Myers (oblique) on the 28-man roster after Myers was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday.
