Mavs Defeat Lakers, 111-110
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the host Los Angeles Lakers, 111-110, at Crypto.com Arena on Friday.

While there were only five ties and seven lead changes in this game, the lead changed hands at the buzzer. Maxi Kleber was the hero for the Mavericks, knocking down a game-winning three for Dallas. The long-distance shooting was the difference all night long, with the Mavericks connecting on 16-of-34 while the Lakers shot just 5-of-20. Dallas also outscored Los Angeles in fastbreak points, 17-8.

The Mavericks (36-35) were led by Kyrie Irving, collecting 38 points, six rebounds and six assists. No other starter had more than 10 points, but Kleber finished with 10 points, four rebounds and two assists. He scored six of those 10 points in the final 10 seconds. Christian Wood led the bench with 12 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and four steals.

The Lakers (34-37) were led by Anthony Davis, accruing 26 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. D'Angelo Russell totaled 11 points, two rebounds and 11 assists. Malik Beasley generated 10 points and six rebounds, while Austin Reaves led the bench with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists. Dennis Schroder had 15 points, three rebounds and five assists, while Wenyen Gabriel generated nine points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

On deck for Los Angeles is a home matchup with the Orlando Magic on Sunday. As for Dallas, they're off until Monday, traveling to face the Memphis Grizzlies.
