Damante went 29-for-44 for 311 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions against MTSU on Saturday. He also ran for a touchdown.

Damante took over as the starter when Logan Fife got hurt. He had six touchdowns, but also five turnovers, so NMSU may be looking elsewhere for a quarterback in 2026.
