Bert Emanuel Injury: Will start in bowl game Saturday

Emanuel (undisclosed) will start in the New Mexico Bowl against North Texas on Saturday, Kirk Kenney of The Press-Enterprise.

Emanuel will get the nod under center after Jayden Denegal (shoulder) was ruled out following surgery. Emanuel, a junior signal-caller, appeared in 10 games for the Aztecs in 2025, completing five of nine passes for 27 yards and adding 21 rushes for 104 yards.
