Hood will transfer to Southern Miss, per 247Sports.

Hood posted 368 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 3.2 yards per carry in 2025 at UMass, also reeling in 11 catches for 88 yards. With what should be three years of Eligibility remaining, he'll transfer to the Golden Eagles, where he should have a shot to get involved in the ground game immediately.
