CJ Carr News: Air game not needed

Carr only threw for 136 yards in completing 16-for-26 yards and a touchdown as Notre Dame went the ground route in the 34-24 victory over USC on Saturday.

Between the running game led by Julian Love and special teams, the Irish collected their offense, so Carr was not needed to throw the ball. The redshirt-freshman did add a rushing touchdown of his own. He was coming off throwing 342 yards and a pair of touchdowns against North Carolina State on Oct 11. Carr will have a very good chance of rebounding against Boston College on Saturday, Oct. 25. The Eagles defense against the pass is in the bottom of the nation.
