CJ Carr News: Not needed in rout

Carr had his least active game this season with 49 passing yards in completing only 5-of-9 pass attempts and only one touchdown in the 70-7 defeat of Syracuse on Saturday.

Before Carr even took a snap on offense, Notre Dame was ahead 21-0 and after that the Irish just ran the ball down the Syracuse defense. Before the contest against the Orange, the redshirt freshman's lowest yardage output was against USC with 136 passing yards in the Notre Dame 34-24 win on Oct. 18. Carr should rebound against Stanford this Saturday. The Cardinal defense is next to the bottom (North Carolina State) against the pass. Stanford defense allows 285 passing yards per game this season.
