Daylyn Upshaw Injury: Dealing with significant injury

Head coach Mario Cristobal said Monday that Upshaw is tending to a foot injury and will miss "significant" time, Adam Lichtenstein of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Monday's update all but guarantees Upshaw won't be healthy in time for Miami's Quarterfinal matchup against Ohio State set for Dec. 31. The freshman pass catcher caught one pass in each of the Hurricanes' final four regular-season games, and he missed the team's CFP opener due to the injury. If Miami advances to the semifinals, they'd play Jan. 8.
