Mendoza completed 17 of 20 passes for 177 yards and five touchdowns during Friday's 56-22 victory against Oregon. He also had six rushes for 28 yards.

Mendoza was nearly perfect on the day, misfiring on just three throws as the Hoosiers cruised to a National Championship Game berth against Miami on Jan. 19. Mendoza has compiled 3,349 passing yards and a 41:6 TD:INT ratio through 15 games for the Hoosiers, completing 73.0 percent of his 352 pass attempts, adding 83 carries for 284 yards and six rushing touchdowns.
