Phillips has committed to Iowa, Pete Nakos of On3 reports.

Phillips, a running back, will transfer colleges from South Dakota to Iowa. One of the 2025 FCS season's best RBs, he logged 294 rushing attempts for 1,919 yards (6.5 averaged per carry) and 19 touchdowns. Ideally for Phillips, challenging Kamari Moulton, Xavier Williams, Nathan McNeil and others for carries is a legitimate possibility.
