Luke Doty News: Would likely start for Sellers

Doty (undisclosed) would likely start for South Carolina on Saturday against Missouri if LaNorris Sellers can't go, per David Cloninger of The Charleston Post and Courier.

Doty is reportedly "penciled in" as the backup if Sellers can't play, but Gamecocks' head coach Shane Beamer did note that competition is always ongoing. That leaves a small door open for Air Noland and Cutter Woods to potentially vie for snaps, but it seems extremely likely that if Sellers is out, Doty would step in at gunslinger. He tossed for 148 yards and one interception while completing 66.7 percent of his passes against Vanderbilt.
