Lunch Winfield News: Strong day in win

Winfield completed 14 of 15 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 31-22 victory versus South Alabama. He also had 15 rushes for 45 yards with one touchdown.

Winfield had his strongest passing day of the 2025 campaign, tying a high in completions and passing touchdowns and setting a new high in completion percentage and passing yards. The touchdowns passes came on 25 and 17-yard strikes, hooking up with wide receiver Shelton Sampson both times. Winfield punched in his rushing score from one yard away. Up next Saturday is a home matchup with Texas State.
