Maalik Murphy News: Pulled in relief

Murphy threw for only 56 yards in completing 5-of-11 attempts and was removed in the fourth quarter as the Beavers fell to Tulsa, 31-14, on Saturday.

Murphy came in relief for starting quarterback Gabarri Johnson and then freshman quarterback Tristan Ti'a came in to replace Murphy. The Beavers do not play until Nov. 29 against Washington State. Whomever is under center for Oregon State, it will be a challenge since the Cougars defense is in the top 10 in the nation against the pass.
