Maalik Murphy News: Won't get start vs. Wazzu

Murphy won't start against Washington State in Week 10, per Ryan Harlan of 247Sports.com.

Murphy was benched in the Beavers' win over Lafayette in Week 8, and was replaced by Gabarri Johnson. Now, with Johnson set to draw the start in Week 10 against the Cougars, it appears Murphy has officially lost the QB1 job in Corvallis. If he doesn't play another snap in 2025, he'll finish with 1,719 passing yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions along with one rushing score.
