Gilbert (hand) won't be available for Notre Dame's tilt with USC on Saturday night, per Tyler Horka of On3.com.

Gilbert hurt his hand against NC State, and has quickly been ruled out for Week. 8. That's certainly not the greatest sign moving forward, but the true freshman wideout will look to take the week to heal and potentially return after a bye week against Boston College on Nov. 1.
