PJ Martin News: Working as primary backup

Martin took the majority of first-team snaps in practice with starter Kentrel Bullock sidelined, per Creg Stephenson of AL.com.

Martin was expected to compete for the primary backup spot behind Bullock heading into the 2025 season and appears to be in position to secure the spot. The 5-foot-10 running back has been productive with his very limited opportunities with South Alabama, running for 98 yards and a touchdown on just 13 attempts during the 2024 season. If he can earn the primary backup role, he could see an increase in touches in 2025.
