Citadel's 2025 roster indicates that Hayes is no longer part of the Air Force. He was not part of their spring practices, and the Force's fall is expected to include a competition for their starting quarterback. During 2024, he completed 58.1 percent of 43 pass attempts for 455 yards and a 3-2 TD-INT ratio. Hayes also logged 126 carries for 466 yards and seven touchdowns.
