Roman Gagliano News: Throws three TDs

Gagliano went 24-for-42 for 260 yards and three touchdowns against NMSU on Saturday. He also ran nine times for 27 yards.

It is not hyperbolic to say Gagliano may have saved head coach Derek Mason's job. MTSU was careening toward an 1-11 record with holdover QB Nicholas Vattiato under center. Mason, admittedly pressed by a Vattiato injury, turned to the redshirt freshman Gagliano. In three starts he threw for five passes, ran for over 150 yards with two rushing scores, and didn't turn the ball over. Oh, and MTSU won twice.
