Ryan Davis News: Seven targets in lopsided win

Davis tallied two catches (on seven targets) for 36 yards during Saturday's 53-7 win against Colorado.

Davis recorded at least seven targets for the sixth time this season in eight games. These opportunities came from freshman QB Byrd Ficklin who made the spot start for an injured Devon Dampier. Dampier was available in an emergency situation, however, that was not needed as Utah dominated from start to finish. The game script did not play in favor of the passing game and Davis will likely have a bigger impact when the Utes host Cincinnati next week.
