Ryan Staub News: May not start Week 3

Colorado's head coach Deion Sanders would not confirm that he will start Staub in Week 3 at Houston, David Ubben of The Athletic reports.

Staub was mentioned in reports as Colorado's starting quarterback for Week 3. But hours after the news came out, Sanders publicly stated that he has not named a starting QB for Week 3 and will not do so for the time being. While that may temporarily put a wrench in Staub's upside for Week 3, he is taking a majority of first-team reps in recent practices, so the once-QB3 option may be a starter after all.
