Sire Gaines News: Solid effort against Aztecs

Gaines accrued 13 carries for 78 yards during Saturday's 17-7 defeat to San Diego State.

Gaines hasn't reached pay dirt in either of the last two contests, which is a little disappointing, but he did see an uptick in carries Saturday, albeit while logging fewer totes than sophomore back Dylan Riley. Gaines should remain a regular in the Broncos' backfield over the last two regular-season contests, but he's not exactly a workhorse back.
