Steve Angeli News: Wins starting job

Angeli has won the Orange's starting quarterback job, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.

Before the Orange's fall camp, their quarterback battle included Angeli and Rickie Collins. Less than one week before Thamel's report, the former logged a slight edge, so his winning turnout should come as no surprise. Even though Angeli's 2024 is limited, he completed 66.7 percent of 36 passes for three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Ideally for Syracuse, he can translate the moderate success into a whole season's scale.
