TJ Lateef News: Will start in Raiola's absence
Lateef will get be Nebraska's starting quarterback moving forward in the wake of Dylan Raiola's season ending broken fibula, per Kevin SJuts of 10/11 News.
Lateef replaced Raiola in the loss to USC, and completed 5-of-7 passes for seven yards. He also ran for 18 yards on six carries, but the true freshman looked pretty limited as a passer. This is a significant handicap on the Huskers' offense, but Lateef now gets a chance to show the world what he can do with three regular season games remaining in Lincoln.
