Thompson (hamstring) suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain last week, Guerry Smith of Nola.com reports.

Thompson is expected to be held out for at least another week as he continues to work his way back from a low-grade hamstring injury suffered this past week. Prior to his injury the 6-foot-4 graduate tight end logged a strong showing in a team scrimmage. Thompson's status will continue to be monitored ahead of Tulane's season opener against Northwestern on Aug. 30.
