Tye Edwards News: Leaving Morgantown

Edwards (hip) will enter the transfer portal, per On3.com.

Edwards played in four games in 2025, totaling 143 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He joined the Mountaineers after rushing for over 1,500 yards in two seasons at Northern Iowa. With West Virginia signing the nation's leading rusher, Cam Cook, via the transfer portal, while also bringing in young talent such as blue-chipper Amari Latimer, the writing was on the wall for Edwards and he'll seek a new home.
