Charvarius Ward Injury: Ruled out against Broncos

Ward (concussion) won't play Sunday against the Broncos, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Ward has yet to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol and will remain ineligible to suit up until he clears the protocol. His practice participation will bear monitoring ahead of a Week 3 trip to Tennessee. Mekhi Blackmon and Johnathan Edwards are the top candidates for increased Week 2 roles in Ward's absence.
