Dakota Mermis News: Recalled from AHL

Mermis has been recalled from AHL Toronto by the Maple Leafs, the team announced Sunday.

The injury to Chris Tanev was serious enough to land him on injured reserve, and the corresponding move made was to bring Mermis up from the AHL. The 31-year-old has appeared in just three games between the AHL and NHL levels so far this season, recording no points in any of them. He will likely just serve as depth for now.
