Neal Pionk News: Nabs helper in win

Pionk notched an assist, two hits and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Islanders.

Pionk set up Adam Lowry late in the second period for what stood as the game-winning goal. The 30-year-old Pionk has two helpers over six outings in January, which makes it already a more productive month than December (one goal in 13 games). The defenseman is at eight points, 76 shots on net, 84 hits, 64 blocked shots, 19 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 40 appearances in what's likely to be the worst full-length season of his career.
