Lasts 95 seconds in Salt Lake City

Saint Preux lost to Ryan Spann via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:35 of Round 1 at UFC 307 on Saturday in Salt Lake City.
ANALYSIS
It was a rough, rough night at the office for OSP. He was beaten up on the feet early on and then left his neck exposed -- the absolutely worst thing you can do against a submission specialist like Spann. He was tapping out moments later. It's a classic case of one step forward and two steps back for Saint Preux. He fought reasonably well in a split decision win over Kennedy Nzechukwu in March, but this performance erases any good will he may have built up there. Now 2-4 in his past six fights dating back to December 2020, the 41-year-old OSP is all but out of time.

Pulls massive upset in Vegas
Light HeavyweightUFC
March 16, 2024
Saint Preux defeated Kennedy Nzechukwu via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Aided by his opponent standing around and doing nothing most of the fight, Saint Preux put forth his best effort in quite some time. Neither man accomplished much over the course of the first two rounds, but OSP was the more effective man. The action picked up in Round 3 with both combatants dead tired, but again, Saint Preux landed the bigger shots. OSP was quite lucky to see the finish line considering how exhausted he looked in the final minutes, but he made it. Set to turn 41 years of age in a few weeks, Saint Preux improves to 2-3 in his last five bouts, but it remains crystal clear he's just about at the end of the line.
Matched up with Nzechukwu
Light HeavyweightUFC
January 16, 2024
Saint Preux will fight Kennedy Nzechukwu at UFC Vegas 88 on March 16, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
March's bout will mark Saint Preux's first fight back from his six-month suspension that came after he tested positive for a banned substance. The 40-year-old light heavyweight hasn't won a fight since 2022 and his extended absence puts him at risk of displaying rust during his return.
