Agustin Almendra News: Moves to Necaxa

Almendra has completed a transfer to Necaxa from Argentinian squad Racing Club for the next Liga MX season.

Almendra should strengthen his new team's midfield, even though he's coming off a quiet campaign in which he scored one goal and failed to assist in 43 games across all competitions. Rayos have announced him as their new No. 10, suggesting he'll be used in a central attacking midfield position behind the strikers. He'll aim to be preferred over Pavel Perez and Raul Sanchez at some point, and could also take set pieces, especially if Agustin Palavecino leaves the club.
