Alfon Injury: Joins Villarreal on loan

Alfon (calf) has been loaned to Villarreal from Sevilla for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, the club announced Tuesday.

Alfon is still waiting to make his first appearance in 2026 after dealing with a calf injury. However, his return to action is likely to happen soon with his new club. The winger impressed last season during his time in Celta Vigo but struggled to find a consistent role in Sevilla. He may fit better into Villarreal's 4-4-2 formation, as it will allow him to focus on attacking play more than he did in his previous squad, but he's not guaranteed to start in a tough contention with Alberto Moleiro.
