Alvas Powell News: Assists winner Monday

Powell assisted once to go with two chances created in Monday's 1-0 victory against Columbus Crew.

Powell recorded his first goal contribution of the season Monday and it could not have come at a better time. With the match scoreless through 78 minutes, Powell set up Kevin Denkey's close-range strike to give Cincinnati the victory in Game 1. It came on one of two chances he created in his 20 minutes off the bench. Powell didn't figure to play a huge role in Cincinnati's playoff run, but he already made a massive impact for his club.
