Rudiger was forced off in the 69th minute of Thursday's 2-1 win against Atletico in the semi-final of the Supercopa due to knee pain, coach Xabi Alonso said in a press conference. "Antonio was having limitations with his knee, he made a great effort and couldn't do any more."

Rudiger was dealing with knee pain and couldn't continue the game in Thursday's win against Atletico in the Supercopa. The center-back was substituted in the 69th minute and his condition will have to be monitored ahead of Sunday's Supercopa final against Barcelona. If Rudiger had to miss some time, Dean Huijsen will likely find a starting spot again for the Merengues.
