Armando Gonzalez Injury: Reserved in offseason friendlies

Gonzalez (thigh) has yet to return to the field as he continues to progress in the final phase of his recovery, Omar Villarreal of TV Azteca reported Saturday.

Gonzalez's return to action is being handled with caution, considering that the team will face three games in one week at the beginning of the Clausura season, and they don't want to risk their top scorer to a relapse. He's now in contention with winter arrivals Angel Sepulveda and Ricardo Marin, both of whom could share playing time in his place over the first few weeks of the year. The 22-year-old closed the previous campaign with 12 goals plus one assist in 18 games (14 starts).
