Brian Brobbey News: Substituted as precaution

Brobbey was taken off the field early in Saturday's 4-1 FA Cup in over Everton as a precaution, according to manager Regis Le Bris, per Phil Smith of the Sunderland Echo.

Brobbey didn't start and was instead worked in from the bench Saturday, coming on with 19 minutes to play but leaving in extra time. However, this was just a precaution, not holding any underlying injury. This clears him for play moving forward, likely to look to return to a starting role after six straight starts before Saturday, with one goal during that spell.
