Enzo Fernandez Injury: Late call against Ajax

Fernandez (knee) could be an option for Wednesday's clash against Ajax in the Champions League, coach Enzo Maresca said in the press conference, according to Football London. "Enzo took part in the session yesterday. We have one more session this afternoon and we will decide with him tomorrow. It is not something we have to be worried about. It's to try and protect Enzo."

Fernandez missed the last game against Forest due to a knee problem that was mainly a precaution to avoid any major setbacks. The midfielder will be assessed again after the final training session ahead of Wednesday's clash against Ajax in the Champions League but could be an option for the game. If fully deemed fit, Fernandez should regain his undisputed starting role in the heart of the game for the Blues.
